AI videos and Creator Rewards

AI-made videos can earn from TikTok's Creator Rewards Program if the account meets the eligibility rules and the videos are original, longer than one minute and labeled correctly when they look realistic. TikTok pays based on qualified views and does not publish a fixed rate, so there is no way to predict a payout per view.

The program rewards the same things TikTok wants from any creator: original work that people choose to watch for more than a minute. AI can help you make that work faster. It cannot replace the reason someone keeps watching.

Eligibility as of October 2026

Check TikTok's Creator Rewards page for the current rules in your country, because they change and the program is only available in some countries.

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You need a personal account, not a business account.
  • At least 10,000 followers.
  • At least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
  • Videos must be longer than one minute.
  • Content must be original.
  • You must be in a country where the program is offered.

Payment is based on qualified views. TikTok decides what counts as qualified, and it does not publish a rate. Ignore anyone quoting a fixed amount per thousand views.

What counts as original for AI content

TikTok does not ban AI content from the program. It excludes content that is unoriginal: reposted clips, compilations of other people's work, and low-effort videos that add nothing. For an AI channel, originality means your idea, your script and your edit.

  • Fine: an original mini story with a recurring AI character, scripted and edited by you.
  • Fine: an explainer with your own narration script and custom visuals.
  • Risky: dozens of near-identical clips from one template with only text swapped.
  • Not eligible: recaps or clips of films, shows or other creators' videos.

Why the one-minute rule changes how you plan

Most AI clips are short, and many models generate up to 8, 15 or 20 seconds at a time. A video over one minute is several shots cut together, so plan a structure, not a single clip. Only Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0 reach 30 seconds per generation in ClickPop, and even then you will want more than one angle.

The minute also has to hold attention. A 70-second video that loses viewers at second 10 gets few qualified views. Build it in beats that each end with a reason to keep watching.

A 75-second video plan you can copy

Here is a beat sheet for a mystery-style AI story called "The lighthouse that kept its light on", made for vertical video.

  • 0 to 5 s, hook: wide shot of a lighthouse beam sweeping a storm. Caption: "This lighthouse was abandoned in 1962. The light never went off." Try it
  • 5 to 20 s, setup: a keeper character, an older man in a wool coat, climbs the stairs with a lantern. Narration sets the rule: nobody has power out here.
  • 20 to 40 s, discovery: he finds a logbook with new entries in his own handwriting.
  • 40 to 60 s, turn: the beam swings and lights up a figure on the rocks below.
  • 60 to 75 s, cliffhanger: close on his face. "Part 2 tomorrow."

Use a locked character from Characters so the keeper looks the same in every shot and every part. A sample prompt for the hook: "Wide shot of a white stone lighthouse on black rocks at night, heavy storm, beam sweeping through rain, waves crashing, cinematic, vertical framing." Then build the rest in ClickPop's YouTube Shorts studio or Drama Studio, which handle hooks, beats, captions and cliffhangers for vertical video.

Reach the thresholds first

Most accounts spend their early months below 10,000 followers, so plan for growth before payouts. Short videos still help here, even though they do not count for the program, because they are how new viewers find you.

  • Post short hooks from your longer stories as teasers, and point viewers to the full part.
  • Use one recurring format and one recurring character so people know what they are following.
  • Reply to comments with video, which gives you new ideas and shows activity.
  • Check analytics weekly: average watch time and where viewers drop off matter more than likes.

Once you qualify, keep making the formats that earned the followers. A sudden switch to long, slow videos can lose the audience you built.

Label realistic AI content

TikTok requires creators to label realistic AI-generated content. Use the AI-generated content toggle when you post. A labeled video can still be eligible for the program; a realistic unlabeled one can be removed or restricted. Check TikTok's current guidance for what it treats as realistic.

Stylized content, such as clearly animated or illustrated videos, is less likely to be mistaken for real, but labeling it costs you nothing and protects the account.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Padding short ideas to cross one minute. Viewers leave, and qualified views drop.
  • Switching to a business account to use commercial music, which can make you ineligible for the program.
  • Uploading the same video to many accounts. Duplicates are not original.
  • Realistic AI scenes of real people or news events. They break likeness rules and mislead viewers.
  • Relying on the program as your only income. Payouts vary, so pair it with affiliate links, TikTok Shop or brand deals where eligible.
