How credits work
A video holds credits while it renders. The hold is captured when the video finishes, and released if it fails.
The studio quotes a video before it starts. That quote is the hold. Click Pop Studio, the API, and the MCP connector all send the job through the same render path, so they deduct credits the same way. Current plan prices are on Pricing.
Hold, finish, and failure
Queuing a video holds the quote and takes those credits off the balance. When the video finishes, the hold is captured. If the finished render costs less than the hold, the difference goes back on the balance. If the video fails, the hold is released and the credits come back. Returning credits is not a cash refund. At a zero balance, rendering stops. There is no overage charge.
What changes the quote
The quote follows the model, the length, and the resolution. If you pick a model by name, that model is the one that renders. Seedance 2.0 and Seedance 2.5 cost more than Auto at the same length and resolution. Seedance 2.0 Mini costs less than Auto.
480p is the default resolution. At 480p, a 5 second Auto video is 23 credits, a 10 second Auto video is 45 credits, and a 15 second Auto video is 68 credits. A 10 second or 15 second ad costs more than a 5 second clip. 720p costs more than 480p: a 5 second Auto video at 720p is 36 credits. A 5 second Seedance 2.0 video at 480p is 35 credits. A 5 second Seedance 2.5 video at 480p is 46 credits.
Seedance 2.0 Fast, Seedance 2.0 Mini, and Seedance 2.5 render at 480p and 720p. A higher request on those models is sent at 720p and charged at the 720p quote. Seedance 2.0 can render 1080p, and that quote is higher than 720p. Seedance 2.5 is credit-metered on every plan.
A 15 second video is still one quote for the full length. The longer length is why it costs more than 5 seconds, not a second fee on top.
Stills, a character bible, and top-ups
A product still is 3 credits, charged when you generate the shot. If that image fails, those credits are returned. A character bible is 2 credits. Asking the script writer for lines is 1 credits. The video quote itself does not add that script charge.
Unused plan credits roll over when the next grant is added: for 1 month on Starter and Pop, and 2 months on Supernova. A top-up is 500 credits for $10. Top-up credits stay until you spend them and sit outside that cap. Plan grants are spent before top-ups.
